The University Centre of the Westfjords invites applications for two Master’s programs in coastal studies. These programs are located in Ísafjörður, Iceland.
The Master’s programs include Coastal Communities and Regional Development (Master of Arts) and Coastal and Marine Management (Master of Resource Management). The Coastal Communities and Regional Development program focuses on the development of rural and remote areas in the past and in the future, and includes coastal communities along the North Atlantic and the Arctic. Through the program, students will study the changes and challenges of coastal community development, and learn methods and skills to predict community development and management. The Coastal and Marine Management program is a multidisciplinary Master’s program in natural resource management. Through this program, students learn about coastal and ocean resources, their significance, and methods to sustainably manage these resources.
