ORGANISATION BACKGROUND With 23 years of experience, AquaTT has proven itself as an expert at managing European scientific projects, with a strategic focus on knowledge management and transfer, communication, dissemination and training. Over the past five years AquaTT has demonstrated a track record in successfully pursuing, acquiring and managing a significant amount of grants (27 European Commission (EC)-funded projects across the 7th Framework Programme, Horizon 2020, Interreg and Lifelong Learning Programmes), enabling it to build a knowledge-based organisation with key networks among national and European stakeholders. As a result, AquaTT has become one of the most successful organisations in Ireland in securing EC funding. Across its vast network, AquaTT collaborates with more than 250 institutions in more than 40 countries. Research domains in which it currently operates include: Marine, Environment, Water, Health, Climate Change, Energy and Food. Through numerous projects, AquaTT works with Europe’s top researchers for the entirety of each project’s life cycle, from project conception right through to delivery, to ensure positive societal impact. AquaTT has built an experienced and multidisciplinary team of experts from different backgrounds and now we have an opening for an individual that is passionate about science and able to communicate its merits to different audiences. The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills, strong website management and social media experience, and will be able to generate new innovative ideas and content. JOB DESCRIPTION Position: Communications Officer Type: Full-time 18 month contract (initial 6 month probation), available immediately Location: AquaTT’s Dublin city centre office The Communications Officer will assist in the development and implementation of AquaTT’s internal and external communications strategies and delivery of roles in EC-funded scientific projects. The Communications Officer will play an integral role in disseminating the results and significance of EC-funded scientific projects to a diverse range of audiences and partners. This will include maintaining key communication channels as well as generating and editing content across all of AquaTT's activities.
