Location: Belfast Are you passionate about saving nature and looking for an opportunity to make a positive difference for some of Northern Ireland's most threatened wildlife? We are looking for a confident communicator and team player to deliver conservation advice in the east of County Down, at a farm and landscape-scale, for a range of species, with a particular focus on priority seed-eating birds such as Yellowhammer and Linnet. You will manage volunteers to monitor the impact of your work, thereby demonstrating how wildlife friendly farming methods can help reverse declines of threatened farmland birds and other wildlife. The successful applicant will have a good knowledge of the ecology of farmland wildlife and farming systems, preferably arable and mixed farmland, knowledge of agri-environment schemes and the ability to pull together external partnerships and work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds. In addition we are looking for someone who also has good computer skills, particularly GIS mapping.
