Would you like to study in the United States for a year?
Applications are now open for the ever popular Study USA programme. Students will spend a full academic year at an American college or university studying business and management, but you do not need to be studying business and management to apply. Applications are welcome from students of every discipline. * Study USA is open to all full-time, pre-final year students of any discipline, from undergraduate degree or HND courses at a Northern Irish institution. * You must have a minimum average of 53% in your first year modules and possess an EU passport. * You are not eligible if you have previously participated in a student mobility programme, funded by a Northern Ireland government department since entering higher education. Full details about the programme and the application form can be found at; http://nireland.britishcouncil.org/opportunities/study-usa The Department of Employment and Learning generously fund this programme through a scholarship funding package but if you are successful in securing a place on the SUSA programme, you will be asked to contribute £1500 if you are not entitled to maintenance grant support. The scholarship package is very generous and includes the following provisions: * Tuition waiver at the US College/University * Room and board for the academic year * A generous text book allowance * One return flight to the US The Student contribution is: * Purchase of own study abroad travel/health insurance policy * Payment of visa fee * Spending money to cover accommodation/travel over college breaks * Participation fee of £1500, unless in receipt of a maintenance grant.
